Civil Engineer - Carillion/ODPM joint venture - building and project management duties - central London HQ Offices. Surveys of building fabric, supervision of contractors, assessment of forward works budgets, procurement of new contractors, planning of works, assisting client with works outside normal business, co-ordination of structural engineers and other members of the project team.
Liaison Manager - Citex/ODPM: Liaison between project teams plus CAD management and drawing controls.Maintenance of workflow procedures for QA.
Freelance CAD Engineer: (Citex) Design of building projects (£50k - £1m) - Design of buildings, car park layouts & turning circles for clients, 3D visualisation for future projects.
(Ove Arup) - CAD Engineer for Maritime Dept & Canary Wharf project team (£50k - £30m).
(Owen Williams Ltd) - CAD detailing for A12 dual carriageway re-design.
(Flint & Neill structural engineers) - Structural CAD Engineer on bridges and related works of approx £5m value - Assistant to chief structural architect.
(Clarke Smith structural engineers) - Refurbishment of £20m London block - Surveyor & CAD engineer: written and photographic surveys of existing structures, CAD updates of structural drawings.
Brian Clancy Partnership : Structural & Civil Engineer, London - Structural design of buildings and conceptual design of construction projects (£10k - £500k), feasibility studies of future projects such as railway yards.
Colchester Borough Council : Civil Engineering Consultant, Colchester, Essex, UK. Contract management of dredging project (£350k), preparation of tender documents, liaison with contractors, local residents and governmental parties.
Amec Civil Engineering : Airport & Maritime Civil Engineer, British Isles. Construction supervision & design of marinas and airport works, working with contractors and clients. Projects - Jersey Marina (£25m), Sidmouth Coastal Defences (£8m), BAA contract for London Heathrow, Gatwick & Stanstead (£25m).
Poole Harbour Commissioners: Part of Harbour Engineer's team:design & supervision of dredging and port projects (£15k to £600k), land surveying, CAD design of port layout and associated plant, 3D CAD.
British Rail Civil Engineering: Technical Officer, London. Part of Bridge Office team: Project management (£15k - £45k), tender preparation, bridge design, surveys and draughtsmanship.
