About Christopher Holt, UK Construction Photographer:
Following successful parallel careers as civil engineer and photographer, Christopher Holt now offers specialist construction photography for clients, consultants, expert witness teams, legal claims, contract arbitration and other uses.
After gaining a degree in civil engineering at Kingston University, Christopher Holt worked for contractors, consultants and clients in the UK civil engineering industry. He gained an overview of life on-site, in the design office and from the point of view of the client in the necessary liaison activities required in project management. Christopher Holt also has a diploma in building construction & civil engineering from NESCOT. He has also studied courses in Japanese, French, Spanish and Graphic Design.
In 1999, Christopher Holt established his company Christopher Holt LTD which has various specialisations such as PR, Travel and Art Prints. This extensive photographic experience has been allied with his construction experience, providing a multi level construction photography service: from site progress pictures to final completion photography.
The Holt name has also been in Civil Engineering since Victorian times. Christopher Holt's great grandfather left Dorset England to teach Civil Engineering in Egypt's universities at the turn of the 20th Century and his grandfather followed in his father's footsteps, studying civil engineering after his service in WWI and working on such projects as the Cardington Air Sheds.
